Every ruling this desk got wrong, dated, corrected in place, kept forever. Not the artifact's mistakes; ours. A living verdict that moved because the record moved is not an error and lives in the record's own history. A ruling that was wrong about the artifact as it stood is an error and lives here. Scar tissue is the authority product; we file it proudly and we file it the day we find it.
1. THE RECORD: which record, which edition, the permanent link. 2. WHAT WE SAID: the ruling as published, verbatim. 3. WHAT WAS WRONG: the specific failure (misread artifact, wrong speaker, wrong date, invented detail, wrong status word). 4. HOW WE CAUGHT IT: who or what (a reader, the other seat, a re-read, a correction notice). 5. THE FIX: what the record says now, and when it changed.
